Touhou: New World : Shrine maiden Reimu Hakurei and magician Marisa Kirisame have comparatively tranquil lives in the realm of Gensokyo, cut off from the outer world by a mysterious barrier. Occasionally, though, they find themselves propelled across the barrier and into the strange outside world. Our heroes ultimately make their way back home, but this time they are accompanied by an unexpected visitor after a fortuitous encounter with Sumireko, a human girl who is enamored with Gensokyo and all of its wonders. The presence of Sumireko portends trouble not only for Gensokyo but also for the outer world and beyond! Reimu and Marisa must reveal the mysteries threatening their house in order to bring the region’s harmony.
